Joshua Allard Obituary

Joshua “Josh” Lewis Allard, 37, of Moosup, CT, passed away unexpectedly in the home of his loving grandfather Robert Berry and Aunt Angela Berry. He was born in Hartford on February 9, 1984, to the Honorable Linda Allard, of West Hartford and Dennis Allard, of East Windsor.
Josh was deeply loved by his family and friends. He played soccer as a child. However, he would much rather pick the flowers on the field, than score a goal. Josh loved exploring Ithaca as a tween. In January 2009, his first child, Alucard was born. Josh was a devoted and loving father. In December 2012, he married the love of his life, Deirdra Allard. They had a child, Celestyn, and Josh loved his daughter with all his heart. He loved to tinker with engines and mastered the skill to become a small engine / diesel mechanic. Later, in life he loved gardening and canning his harvest. Josh loved Christmas and hanging out with his family. His family will cherish these times and memories. He had a beautiful smile and a contagious laugh. Josh will be greatly missed.
In addition to his loving mother and her partner, the Honorable Joseph Suggs, Jr., grandfather, and aunts Angela and Audrey Berry, he leaves behind his beloved family: his devoted wife Deirdra M. Allard, of Moosup, CT, his children Alucard (12) and Celestyn (10), his stepchildren, Trent (15), Brooklyn Lynn (13), and his mother-in-law – Patrice David.  Josh also leaves behind his siblings, sister Mikal Goudreau, (Chris), brothers A. Benjamin Moore, of Long Beach, CA, Ben Allard, sister Natalia, brothers Jonathan, Tresin, and Brooklyn Allard, sisters Tatiana Cruz, Rosalie Rivera, Juana Flores, India King and four nephews – Jason, Ryan, Alex, and Dylan, many foster and step siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
There will be a private service on Monday, December 6, 2021. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Josh’s honor to his GoFundMe account to assist his children during this difficult time. Tell someone that they are loved.
