Angel "Varon" Ruiz-Otero

Angel was predeceased by his son Angel "Goldo "Ruiz; his daughters, Idelmis Nieves, Maria D. Ruiz and Lucy Nieves.  Also sons-in-law; Felix, Tyrone, and Manuel. Sisters; Estel, Jesusa, and Milagros Ruiz.  Brothers; Nicomendes and Bienvenido Ruiz.  He leaves behind many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces and friends that he considered more like family.  He lived in Hartford most of his life, however his beginnings came from Comerio, Puerto Rico.  He worked and retired from Foodways Factory and later found a passion as a bar owner at several establishments, including "La Copa Cafe" on John St. in Hartford.  His ambition, drive and vision were admirable.  He loved playing pool and dominos and participated in many clubs.  He was a strong, proud, humble, and distinguished man.  He was influenced by his actions alone and showed many that nothing is impossible and to trust yourself, be honest, and do the best you can.  He was strong, courageous and believed that family was EVERYTHING.  His deep rooted pride, influential demeanor, and undoubtable intuition are gifts he leaves behind.  He will be missed tremendously as he was so loved and cared for by his family and friends.
