Maritza Carrion

“Mari”, 61, of Hartford, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 22, 2024. Mari was born in Hartford, daughter of the late Jose A.Carrion and Maria M. Carrion-Estremera.
Mari was retired and spent most of her time as an active member of her community, sharing the word of God, donating food and warm clothing to the less fortunate. She was a resourceful woman.

"Mari" was kind, loving and a free spirit who loved nature and animals . She loved music, singing, dancing and laughing… her laugh was loud and infectious. Mari was a warrior, a survivor; she was resilient, and overcame many obstacles throughout her life. Mari was selfless always willing to put the needs and hopes of others first. She made new friends everywhere she went. Mari believed all things happened for a reason. It was her life’s legacy to help and care for others. Mari’s greatest joy were her children and grandchildren, who she loved and cared for deeply. Her greatest wish was for her children and grandchildren to have peace in their life. Mari rejoiced with her children and grandchildren as she lived her life thankful for each day.

Mari was courageous, strong, proud, selfless, caring, loving, fierce and glamorous…

She will be missed so much by everyone who loved her.
