Jose M. Rivera

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Jose M. Rivera, 47, of New Britain, Connecticut.  Jose passed away on January 29, 2024. He was born on June 1, 1976, in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, to Miriam R. Algarin Ortiz and the late Manuel Rivera Algarin.

Jose is survived by his mother, Miriam R. Algarin Ortiz; his daughters, Nyrell Y. Rivera and Jalayna M. Rivera; his brothers and sisters, Luis Rivera, Omar DeLeon, David DeLeon, Desiree Lopez, Elijah Morales, Kamiliah DeLeon, and Daniel DeLeon.  He also leaves behind numerous relatives and friends.

A ceremony to honor Jose’s life will be held on Saturday, February 10th, 2024 from 12pm to 3pm at DeLeon Funeral Home located at 104 Main St. in Hartford, Connecticut.

The compassionate staff at DeLeon Funeral Home is assisting the family during this difficult time.
